You may not know this, but I don't have a lot of shame. I have a LOT of privacy, but usually not much shame. Anyway--I thought it would be sorta silly to post the swelling process of my cheeks after having my wisdom teeth removed today. So here you go--here I am, a few hours post surgery, with no makeup and very messy hair. And a really sweet kitten who keeps by my side at all times when I'm not feeling my usual, perky, self.
Essentially--having my teeth pulled was a piece of cake. I showed up, they hooked me up to laughing gas (which actually made me giggle), put me under for about 20 minutes, and when I woke up I felt great and totally with it. Cory swung me by a fast food joint so I could get a chocolate milkshake. I wasn't allowed to eat for 8 hours before the surgery--but realistically, I just didn't eat after 9 pm last night. Seeing that my sugery wasn't over until noon, I was pretty hungry. That milkshake was DELICIOUS.
Since I've been home the bleeding of my gums has stopped. I've had a bowl of applesauce, a bowl of chocolate pudding, and am feeling pretty good. It's just been me and Flip hanging out on the couch watching season 1 of Weeds via Netflix. Cory and I like to watch TV on DVD (remember 30 Rock?) and this is our newest obsession.
Cory has been doing a great job taking care of me. It's so wonderful to have a husband with the exact same work schedule as me and the flexibility of time off during the work week. We are extremely fortunate.
Anywho, I'm going to go start crocheting my free pattern from this week! Maybe I'll get to blog more than I had planned (woo!).
Keep your fingers crossed that I continue to feel this great!
xo,
Liz
Seriously, my boy and I would rather watch TV on DVD than movies. So amazing <3
ReplyDeleteOnce you're done with Weeds, try Desperate Housewives, Pushing Daisies, Bones, or Psych. I watched all of these via Netflix. I finished all but Bones (I just started watching the fifth season after a YEAR without Bones D:) and Desperate Housewives, my newest obsession <3 I'm on the second season and can't seem to stop watching!
Thanks for the tips! We usually fly through TV on DVD during the winter... gotta get in all the good ones before it starts getting warmer outside!
