I have had a pretty strange week this week--still adjusting to my new students. It's not bad, but I was just never able to find my mojo. I wasn't sleeping well, I wasn't feeling well, things all around were pretty cranky. Sometimes you just have an off week... it was this week for me. Nothing I did ever felt good enough and everything I said came out wrong. A no good week.
The happy news is that after a mini-melt down last night, Cory thought it was appropriate to get out of town for a night (I concur!) and we're are going away to some place very special tomorrow after work. For this, I am so, so excited. I haven't been out of town in a very long time and I am excited to get a change of scenery and/or do something out of the ordinary! I am definitely the kind of person who loves to stay at home and cook and relax and feel like I'm "home" but I get cabin fever just like everyone else. In the winter I really need to shake my roots and get out because it's so easy to convince yourself to stay in because of how cold it is! The other reason why I'm actually really excited is because I think we're staying in a hotel with a giant comfy bed. I love king sized beds. I should just buy one. Seriously. So... big props to my husband for finding a quick remedy to me feeling pretty blah.
So that's what I'm up to this weekend. I don't know what we're doing or where we're going, but it is going to be fun. I am going to demand FUN! Before we can unleash the fun, though, I am finishing up details for my crochet class, eating the last of the Superbowl food, watching 30 Rock, and hopefully going to bed at a decent hour!
